A playful, hands-on workshop that helps kids kick off the school year with creativity, confidence, and a keepsake they’ll treasure!
Together we’ll paint and decorate a colorful Back-to-School Time Capsule jar and fill it with memories, dreams, and a surprise to open at the end of the year. Fun, messy, and full of meaning!
Who is it for?
Kids ages 6–10 who love to dream, design, and create with their hands.
Whether your child speaks English, Hebrew, or both, they’ll feel right at home.
What are we making?
- Each child will create their very own Back-to-School Time Capsule!
- Paint and decorate a plastic jar with bright acrylics and sprinkles.
- Fill in 8 playful question cards like “What will I do differently this year?” or “If I could design my classroom desk, what would it look like?”
- Add a colorful handprint keepsake to see how much they’ve grown next year
- Bring a photo from home to include inside
- Kids are welcome to add any small personal item from home
- Create an empowering bracelet with words of encouragement (like BRAVE, YOU GOT THIS)
- At the end, every child takes home a unique time capsule — filled with creativity, self-expression, and a sealed surprise for next year.
What makes it extra special:
* A playful, creative space to dream and design.
• Confidence and pride from making something truly theirs.
• A keepsake that shows how much they’ve grown when opened next year.
• A surprise inside that keeps the excitement alive all year long
• Screen-free fun that sparks imagination and curiosity.
• A colorful memory they’ll always connect with the start of a new school year.
Why parents love it:
✔️ A meaningful activity that’s also fun.
✔️ Cozy, small-group setting with personal attention
✔️ Kids come home with something they’ll be excited to share.
